LETI and Spintec to explore spin torque based RF devices

LETI and Spintec have decided to explore jointly the potential of spin torque effects for RF devices. In this project, a spin polarized current is used to trigger the magnetization precession of magnetoresistive nanostructures, with resonnant frequencies in the GHz regime. This advanced research could lead to the development of a new class of RF devices, with high quality factors and fully tunable resonnant frequencies.
