On May 9 we have a pleasure to welcome Prof. Y. Suzuki from Osaka University who will visit Spintec and will give a talk on voltage effects on FM films at 11:00 in CEA Main entrance building (Bâtiment A2):

“Voltage control of magnetic anisotropy, exchange, DMI and heat effect”

Yoshishige SUZUKI (Osaka University, Japan)

In our group, voltage effects on ferromagnetic metal films have been investigated. As results, we achieved a large change in magnetic anisotropy by a application of voltage that makes precessional switching possible. In addition, two types of spin wave measurements revealed control of symmetric and asymmetric exchange constant by voltage. At the end, I also mention about recent results in heat assisted rf signal amplification.
