The French Magnetics Chapter of the IEEE Society was prized the “Chapter of year 2018” by the French section of the IEEE Society. Spintec is largely involved in this Chapter with Bernard Diény as President, Vincent Baltz as Secretary, Mairbek Chshiev as Treasurer. The prize comes as a recognition of its fulfillment of objectives, and important contributions to the French Section. The activities of the Chapter include invitation of the Distinguished Lecturers of the IEEE Magnetics Society, the long-standing fostering of Colloque Louis Néel and other events held in France, and as a special achievement in 2017: the acceptance of Lyon as hosting site for the International yearly conference Intermag 2021.
