With great sadness, we announce the death of Bernard Rodmacq, our colleague and friend who passed away on Saturday, May 14th 2016. Bernard was part of the small nucleus of researchers who participated with enthusiasm in the start of Spintec laboratory in the early 2000’s. Tireless researcher, Bernard profoundly and durably marked the development of new materials in Spintec and more broadly for spintronics, culminating with the results obtained in recent years on the interfacial perpendicular anisotropy and magnetic tunnel junctions. We lost an excellent researcher and an admirable colleague.
